hi there, how do you measure these? On the short side or the long side Thanks Donna

Its a great question Donna. The jewel shape is measured on the short edge. FYI the long edge is twice the length of the short edge. I like to think of a jewel as a hexagon with a triangle attached to one edge - that helps me work out sizing on patterns. Hope that is helpful.
